What is The Feldenkrais Method®?

The Feldenkrais Method is an innovative approach to increasing awareness of how our bodies and minds function. It provides strategies and tools to help create more efficient movement, reduce pain, and improve flexibility and strength.

Practicing Feldenkrais® regularly (in classes, workshops, individually at home or in individual one-on-one sessions) will support you to live an active, comfortable life that is free of pain and that allows you to do all the activities you desire. We all experience physical aches and pains whether it be from injuries, repetitive movements, or daily activities such as gardening, lifting, running, or sitting at a computer. As a trained practitioner, my classes and individual sessions can help you to become aware of how you use your body as well as to understand your current patterns that may be contributing to your pain or issues.

About Jamie Golden

Jamie became a Feldenkrais convert after struggling with chronic pain for years, likely from a Lyme disease infection. After living in pain for so long, Feldenkrais offered a way back to an active and care-free life.

Jamie is now stronger and more flexible than she has ever been after adopting a daily Feldenkrais practice. She has been pleased to discover that Feldenkrais makes her feel more emotionally regulated as well. Feldenkrais helped her discover that even her most deeply embedded patterns could be changed, which led to a life-long study of neuroplasticity and the transformative potential of the mind-body connection. Jamie’s capacity to help people lies in her study, practical application, and deep understanding of the brain, neuroscience, and bio-mechanics. Using confident but gentle touch, she encourages the nervous system to reorganize itself.
